Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Hydraulic Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in leading the design and delivery of complex hydraulic engineering projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of our cities and environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of hydraulic engineers to undertake technical design work, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to relevant design standards and codes.
  • Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals, showcasing our expertise and capabilities.
  • Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions, leveraging our global expertise and resources.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design, ensuring the highest level of quality and integrity.

Requirements

  • Chartered Civil Engineer with a strong background in hydraulic engineering.
  • Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design, with a proven track record of success.
  • Sound knowledge and experience of hydraulic design, including water/wastewater treatment plant design, pipeline design, surge analysis, and familiarity with current UK design standards and working practices.
  • Experience of Design & Build, with a strong understanding of the design and construction process.
  • Expertise in using industry-standard software, such as HADES, VARISIM, and WANDA.
  • Recognized industry profile, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality solutions.
