As a Principal Hydraulic Structures Engineer, you will be integral to all facets of civil engineering within Transformational Programmes for essential UK infrastructure, with opportunities to contribute to landmark engineering projects both domestically and internationally.

Our expertise spans all areas of water engineering across various dynamic sectors, including Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Urban Development, and Education. Your Responsibilities:
  • Guide a team in executing technical design tasks in accordance with relevant design standards and codes, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Draft briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
  • Effectively manage time and budgets to meet key project milestones and schedules.
  • Collaborate closely with teams in the UK and internationally to deliver cohesive design solutions.
  • Comply with quality assurance standards in design.
Your Qualifications:
  • Chartered Civil Engineer status.
  • Proven experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary projects.
  • Strong knowledge in the design of gates, sluices, and other hydraulic structures for dams, reservoirs, and flood management.
  • Familiarity with access and accessibility considerations, construction logistics, and current UK design standards and practices.
  • Expertise in utilizing appropriate digital analysis tools, adhering to local and national guidelines.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary benchmarked against industry standards, along with a default of 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with options to purchase or sell additional leave. Compensation and benefits will be aligned with experience and qualifications.

Additional Considerations:

This position may require security clearance, and offers of employment will be contingent upon obtaining the necessary level of clearance. The vetting process is conducted by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may necessitate candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK for five years or longer.
