Job Title: Senior Grounds Maintenance Manager

Blue Sky Services, a social enterprise owned by the Forward Trust, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Grounds Maintenance Manager to lead our Grounds Maintenance and Horticulture team.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing teams and customer relationships, with a broad knowledge of plants and horticulture found in England. They will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, ensuring a high standard of Grounds Maintenance and soft facilities management is maintained across our portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General management of all day-to-day operations
  • Scheduling and organising regular contracted and ad hoc jobs
  • Liaising with clients to ensure their expectations are being met
  • Winning and on-boarding new clients/commissioners
  • Promoting additional services of the Social Enterprise to maximise revenue potential
  • Producing quotations for new grounds maintenance and associated jobs
  • Supporting the training and development of staff
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in managing teams and customer relationships
  • Knowledge of plants and horticulture found in England
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Relevant qualifications relating to Grounds Maintenance and Horticulture
  • Able to work as a member of a team undertaking maintenance duties
  • Able to work on own initiative and comply with all work instructions
