Job Title: General Manager

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our Grounds Maintenance team at Blue Sky Services, a social enterprise owned by the Forward Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring high standards of service delivery, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate Grounds Maintenance operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services to clients.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service quality, customer satisfaction, and business performance.
  • Lead and motivate a team of Grounds Maintenance professionals, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and control budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are utilized efficiently.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for business growth, developing and implementing plans to increase revenue and market share.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in managing Grounds Maintenance teams and operations, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality services and driving business growth.
  • Extensive knowledge of Grounds Maintenance practices, including horticulture, landscaping, and facilities management.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications in Grounds Maintenance, horticulture, or a related field.
