Job Responsibilities
To ensure adequate administrative coverage within the team at Lakeside Surgery Sheepmarket Stamford, this role requires providing administrative support in a courteous, efficient, and effective manner.
The successful candidate will project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via telephone. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures.
- Working in accordance with established protocols.
- Effective time management and prioritizing workload.
- Creation of referral letters, general correspondence to patients and hospitals, and medical reports.
- Liaison with Hospitals, ICB, and service providers.
- Booking referral appointments, checking workflow on e-referral systems, and attaching referral letters electronically.
- Liaising with patients via telephone.
- Franking outgoing post and undertaking other tasks as requested by the line manager.
Additional Tasks
The duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the Team Lead/Management team, dependent on current and evolving practice workload and staffing levels. This job description is not exhaustive and may be adjusted periodically after review and consultation.
You will also be expected to carry out any reasonable duties which may be requested from time-to-time.
