Railway Customer Service Representative

As a Railway Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for customers at London North Eastern Railway (LNER) stations. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every customer has a positive experience. This includes assisting customers with queries, answering questions about train schedules and fares, and resolving any issues that may arise during their journey. You will work closely with other team members to ensure seamless communication and collaboration. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a passion for delivering excellent customer service, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Responsibilities:
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and effective communication
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to company policies and procedures
• Assist with tasks such as welcoming customers, providing information, and helping with luggage
• Contribute to maintaining a positive and respectful work environment
Requirements:
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in using technology to complete tasks efficiently
• Availability to pass industry-standard psychometric testing and safety-critical medical screening
Payscale: The estimated salary for this position is £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your base salary, you can also look forward to benefits such as a generous holiday allowance, flexible working hours, and opportunities for career growth and development.
