About the Role">

As the Head of Clinical Services, you will be responsible for leading a team of highly skilled healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care. You will develop and implement strategies to improve clinical outcomes, enhance patient satisfaction, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities">

  2. Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for clinical services that aligns with our hospital's vision and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to department heads, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to promote excellence in patient care.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to set short- and long-term goals for clinical services.
Clinical Operations:
  • Oversee the delivery of clinical services across all departments, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with best practices.
  • Monitor resource allocation, including staffing, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges to enhance service delivery.
Quality and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with health regulatory bodies, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to patient safety, clinical outcomes, and service efficiency.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives to achieve clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.
Team Management:
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate clinical staff to build a cohesive, high-performing team in line with regulatory bodies and our company values.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continued professional development.
  • Address performance issues and ensure adherence to hospital standards.
Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage budgets for clinical services, ensuring fiscal responsibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise clinical operations and reduce costs without compromising quality.
  • Work with the finance team to track and report financial performance.
  • Collaborate in the monthly report on the Hospital trading figures including Profit & Loss.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Act as the primary liaison between clinical teams, executive director, and department leads.
  • Represent the hospital in professional and community forums, enhancing its reputation as a leader in healthcare delivery.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, organisations, and regulators to align services with industry advancements.

  • Registered Nurse (RGN) with a valid UK Licence.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field (Required).
  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration/Business Administration (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in nursing, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management role.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical service delivery, patient safety, and healthcare regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency in healthcare management software and data analysis tools is an advantage.
  • Strong focus on financial management including budgets, costings, and forecasts.
