About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Swimming Teacher to join our team at Leicestershire County Council. As a Casual School Swimming Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons to students in local schools, promoting the Council's vision and values, and ensuring the safety of participants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver swimming lessons to students in local schools, following the National Curriculum for Swimming
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents
  • Ensure the safety of students and staff during lessons
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to integrate swimming lessons with the curriculum

Requirements

  • Level 2 In Teaching Aquatics qualification
  • NPLQ or NRASTAC Rescue Qualification
  • DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity
