We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Swimming Teacher/Lifeguard to join our team at Kings Camps. As a Swim Teacher/Lifeguard, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and safe swimming lessons to children aged 5-17, focusing on building water confidence and improving swimming techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality swimming lessons to mixed ability groups, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
- Supervise children during swimming sessions, lunch breaks, and other activities, prioritizing their welfare and safety.
- Participate in poolside activities, such as depth testing and risk assessments, to ensure a safe aquatic environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver dynamic swimming sessions, incorporating creative techniques and considering child welfare.
- Contribute to the development of children's water confidence and swimming skills, using a range of teaching methods and resources.
Requirements:
- 12 months experience as a swim teacher, with a focus on working with children aged 5-17.
- Up-to-date SEQ Level 2 or STA Level 2 certification, with a current Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ or NRASTC).
- Experience working with children, with a focus on developing their water confidence and swimming skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
- A collaborative attitude, comfortable with rotating duties and forming positive relationships with both children and staff.
