About the Role

Climax Studios, a renowned game development studio, is seeking an experienced Lead Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design department, you will be responsible for leading the design of a major AAA console title.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of designers in creating high-quality game designs, ensuring they meet the project's vision and goals.
  • Collaborate with the project's stakeholders to define and implement design requirements.
  • Develop and maintain clear and concise design documentation, ensuring all team members are aligned with the project's design direction.
  • Conduct regular design reviews to ensure the team is meeting the project's design standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, providing feedback and guidance to help them grow in their roles.
  • Work closely with programmers, artists, and other team members to ensure the highest quality product is delivered.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Lead Designer on AAA 3D Action console games.
  • Strong understanding of game design principles, including level, player character, and enemy design.
  • Experience with Unreal 5 and a solid understanding of game development pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
