About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist SEN Support Teacher to join our team at an outstanding primary school in the heart of London's diverse borough of Hackney.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting pupils with a wide range of special educational needs, including Autism, PMLD, SLD, SP&L, and SEMH.

As a member of our team, you will work closely with world-class Speech and Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, CAMHS Link Workers, Mental Health Professionals, and Specialist on-site teachers to provide tailored support and interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Support students with SEN on a day-to-day basis, including those with Autism, PMLD, SLD, SP&L, and SEMH.
  • Liaise with Class Teachers and the SENDCO regarding the progress of children.
  • Provide a stimulating and safe learning environment for children.
  • Deliver specialist interventions tailored to meet the needs of each student.
  • Liaise with the school's therapists to ensure comprehensive support.

Requirements

  • Hold a degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Have experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with Autism, PMLD, SLD, SP&L, and SEMH.
