Freelance Interpreter Required for Public and Private Sector Assignments

We are seeking a skilled interpreter to work with our team at Language Empire. As a freelance interpreter, you will have the opportunity to work in various settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organizations.
Our company provides professional interpreting and translation services to the public and private sectors across the UK. With over 20 years of experience, we have established ourselves as a trusted provider of language services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English and another language, as well as formal qualifications in interpreting or translation. You will be responsible for interpreting for individuals using legal, health, and local government services, and will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
We offer flexible working arrangements to fit around your schedule, and you will have the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home. Our dedicated in-house team will provide ongoing support and help you to develop your skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Interpreting for individuals using legal, health, and local government services
- Checking the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence
- Conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
- Dealing with highly confidential information
- Liaising between the service user and service provider
Requirements:
- Fluent in English and another language
- All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
- You must be aged 21 or over
- Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registered, or Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
