Role: Internal Sales Executive
Location: Reading
Sector: Building Materials / Construction Supplies / Builders Merchants
Package: £35,000 - £42,000 Monday - Friday
GCS Associates is seeking an experienced Internal Sales Executive to join their busy sales office. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the construction supplies industry, with a strong understanding of sales principles and practices.
The successful candidate will be responsible for interacting with customers over the phone, by email, and face-to-face, developing rapport, and upselling where possible. They will also deal with subcontractors, builders, and manufacturers, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing solutions
- Take quotation inquiries, develop sales strategies, and achieve sales targets
- Work closely with the sales team to achieve sales goals and objectives
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, products, and services, making recommendations to customers as appropriate
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an Internal Sales role within the construction supplies/building materials sector
- Proven sales skills, including product knowledge and relevant sales experience
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Results-driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
