About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Forensic Nurse or Paramedic to join our team at Mountain Healthcare. As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will work closely with the police to provide high-quality care to detainees and their needs, which can vary from drug/alcohol dependency to acute medical episodes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Forensic sampling, including road traffic offence bloods
  • Signposting and conducting referrals, offering support for vulnerabilities and supporting patients to break patterns of re-offending
  • Delivering substance misuse therapies
  • Assessment and care of detainees and staff in custody suites
  • Acute disease management
  • Promoting good personal healthcare
  • Working with Liaison and Diversion to identify any mental health needs

This role is based within Banbury Police Custody Suite, and we offer a range of benefits, including enhanced sickness pay, enhanced maternity pay, a well-being programme, and a pension scheme.

Requirements
  • Qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic
  • A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience
  • Acute medical healthcare experience

Previous experience in A&E, walk-in centres, substance misuse, community nursing, police custody, prison, or as a Paramedic Practitioner or Registered Nurse would be ideal for this role.
