Job Overview:


Venn Group is seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the Assistant Director of Education role. The successful candidate will have a system leadership role in assisting the Director of Children and Families in ensuring the council meets its legal and statutory obligations.



Main Responsibilities:

The postholder will lead professional for education, developing the purpose of schools and settings within their communities.



  • Developing and implementing strategies to drive equality of opportunity through accessibility and inclusion
  • Embedding and enhancing the One Family Approach, innovating through integration, system redesign, and shared approaches
  • Enabling children, young people, and families to thrive through collaborative working and effective partnerships


About the Role:

This is an initial 6-month contract, with a high likelihood of extending further. The postholder will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive equality of opportunity, embedding and enhancing the One Family Approach, and enabling children, young people, and families to thrive.



Key Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in education leadership, with experience in developing and implementing strategies to drive equality of opportunity. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders.
