Job Title: Practice & Prescriptions Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Practice & Prescriptions Administrator at Sandgate Road Surgery.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing administrative support to our prescribing team. As a Practice & Prescriptions Administrator, you will be responsible for processing prescription requests, managing patient records, and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process prescription requests from registered patients in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage patient records, including updating and maintaining accurate information.
  • Assist the prescribing team with blood monitoring and audits processes.
  • Ensure incoming reports are allocated and dealt with in line with practice protocols.
  • Provide administrative support to the pharmacy technician and GPs as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required to ensure the efficient operation of the practice.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in general practice or pharmacy is essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Highly developed time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • IT literacy, with experience using clinical systems and software.
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, GPs, and other healthcare professionals.
