Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Practice & Prescriptions Administrator at Sandgate Road Surgery. As a key member of our prescribing team, you will be responsible for processing prescription requests, managing medication, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process prescription requests from registered patients in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Liaise with patients, pharmacies, and healthcare professionals to resolve queries and requests.
  • Ensure medication is issued in accordance with practice protocols and policies.
  • Assist the Pharmacy Technician with blood monitoring and audits processes.
  • Contribute to achieving practice targets in regard to prescribing.
  • Manage prescriptions that have not been collected and remove details from patient records.
  • Action incoming 111 reports and maintain housekeeping of EMIS message and task inboxes.
Requirements
  • Experience working in general practice or pharmacy is essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills, highly developed time management skills, and ability to multitask in a pressurized environment.
  • IT literacy and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional team working ability and effective communication skills.
  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths.
  • Prescribing or pharmacy technician qualification (desirable).
