Job Description

Sector and Setting: Specialist social care provider focused on supporting adults with enduring mental health needs.

Location: Birmingham and surrounding area.

Salary: 44,500 - 56,000 per annum.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the residential adaptations department, you will work on meaningful projects involving home adaptations funded through the Disability Facilities Grant (DFG).

  1. Manage and oversee quantity surveying tasks for residential adaptations and housing projects.
  2. Ensure compliance with the DFG framework, building regulations, and health & safety standards.
  3. Provide accurate cost estimates and manage project budgets.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional Accreditation: RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building) membership preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in quantity surveying roles, preferably in residential adaptations, housing projects, or DFG-funded schemes.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of the DFG framework, building regulations, and health & safety standards for disabled adaptations. Proficient in MS Office, project management software, and cost-estimating tools such as CostX or similar.
