We are pleased to announce an exciting job opening at Nelson Permanent Placements Ltd for a dedicated Quantity Surveyor. Our client, a well-established housing association, is seeking a professional to work on residential adaptation projects funded by the Disability Facilities Grant (DFG). As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services while ensuring compliance with grant regulations and health & safety standards.

About the Position
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and local authorities to ensure that adaptation projects meet statutory requirements and deliver value for money. This role requires a deep understanding of the DFG framework, building regulations, and health & safety standards for disabled adaptations.

Responsibilities
- Assess and cost adaptation projects to ensure alignment with allocated DFG funds.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery of services.
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Architects, and Contractors to develop feasible adaptation plans.
- Monitor project progress, resolve contractual or financial disputes, and maintain proper documentation for auditing purposes.
