Job Title: Part Time Accounts Assistant

Location: Flexible working arrangement

Pay rate: £14-£15 per hour

Hours: 16 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Duration: Temporary contract with potential for permanence

We are partnering with a leading construction company to find an experienced Accounts Assistant with a strong background in Xero.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, send, and manage customer and supplier invoices
  • Accurately record and reconcile bank transactions
  • Allocate incoming payments to the correct accounts and invoices
  • Process invoices into the Xero accounting system in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure VAT is correctly accounted for in all transactions and assist in preparing VAT returns
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Support payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments to staff
  • Additional ad hoc duties as required

Essential Skills:

· Proven experience using Xero software

· Strong demonstrated experience working in Finance

· Good I.T skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication

· General administrative experience

· Hardworking, reliable, confident, and down-to-earth
