Office Angels is seeking a skilled and experienced Accounts Assistant to join a leading construction company in Devon and Cornwall.

As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for preparing, sending, and managing customer and supplier invoices, ensuring all bank transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled, and allocating incoming payments to the correct accounts and invoices.

You will also be responsible for inputting and processing invoices into the Xero accounting system, ensuring VAT is correctly accounted for in all transactions, and assisting in preparing VAT returns.

Additionally, you will maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, and support payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments to staff.

Essential skills include proven experience using Xero software, strong demonstrated experience working in finance, good IT skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and general administrative experience.
