About the Role

Flutter UK & Ireland is seeking a highly experienced professional to lead our Data Protection and Compliance Office. As the Head of Data Protection and Compliance, you will be responsible for driving a culture of ownership and accountability across the business, ensuring that our data protection and AI compliance frameworks are best in class.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Data Protection and Compliance Office, including personnel, budgets, technology, and operational activities.
  • Drive a culture of ownership and accountability through the management of accountable data and technology owners and their stewards.
  • Provide professional data protection, privacy, and AI compliance advice and support to the business.
  • Collaborate with key business partners to drive compliance, particularly with data governance, data management, security, and product stakeholders.
  • Oversee and manage key DP and AI related programmes and projects.
  • Assist the DPO and DGO as required, including strategy and leadership, reporting to senior management, and liaising with data protection and related regulators.

Requirements

  • Experience in data protection, privacy, and AI ethics/compliance, ideally in a senior role.
  • Consistent track record of leading and delivering data protection and privacy programs and frameworks.
  • Expertise in implementing and maintaining enterprise-grade DP and privacy management software platforms.
  • People and team management experience.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with all levels of management.
  • Industry-recognised professional qualifications.
