Healthcare Assistant Role Overview

Salary: £24,000 per annum, reflecting the current market rate for this position in the East Anglia region.

About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing comprehensive support to patients undergoing various ophthalmic procedures, including cataract surgery and YAG laser treatment.

  • You will conduct pre-operative assessments, assist during surgical procedures, and educate patients on pre and post-surgical care.
  • You will also maintain accurate medical records, coordinate follow-up appointments, and contribute to quality management initiatives.
Essential Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Previous experience in an optical or healthcare environment, with a strong understanding of patient care and safety protocols.
  • An adaptable and flexible approach to work, with excellent organizational skills and a professional telephone manner.
  • A valid UK driving license and own car is essential for occasional travel to Fakenham clinic.
  • No evening or night shifts are required, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
