Rota Support Ltd specialises in supplying permanent and temporary care, nursing & support staff to the private healthcare sector. This includes care homes for the elderly, nursing homes, learning disability and mental health services, as well as private hospitals.

Role Overview

We are looking for Healthcare Assistants based in Thetford who can work flexible shifts on a 0 hours contract. The role involves covering gaps in clients' rotas due to annual leave, maternity leave, sickness and vacancies.

The shifts may be at short notice or booked weeks in advance, depending on clients' needs.

Daily Tasks

  1. Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding and using the toilet
  2. Utilising equipment to move patients when necessary
  3. Helping tidy the patient's home or room
  4. Taking the patient's vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature
  5. Talking to patients and reassuring them
  6. Assisting nurses and other staff when needed

Requirements

A suitable candidate should have a minimum of 4 months experience in a care home previously. They should also have a good understanding of spoken and written English.

Avoidance of errors: Using current knowledge about blood pressure and movements.

We estimate an average salary of £17,000 - £22,000 per annum, based on national averages for similar roles in the area.
