Job Title: Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Leeds, United Kingdom

Mission:
  • Identify and analyze non-quality factors, conduct in-depth analyses, and monitor quality improvement plans at suppliers.
  • Implement preventive solutions to potential issues and lead quality issue resolution through containment, correction, and prevention steps.
  • Conduct process audits at suppliers and launch improvement action plans to enhance their quality performance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement supplier quality strategies and processes.
  • Analyze supplier quality data to identify trends and drive proactive quality improvements.
  • Support the supplier approval process.
  • Oversee the Supplier Quality Engineer and Quality Inspection team, providing guidance on company standards.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in supplier quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of driving supplier quality improvements and implementing best practices.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and tools such as APQP, PPAP, and FMEA.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to drive quality enhancements.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills to collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., PAP, 8D, Six Sigma) is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of supplier quality processes and methodologies.
