Dumfries, Dumfries and Galloway, United Kingdom Aberlour Child Care Trust Full time

About Aberlour Child Care Trust

We offer a supportive environment for our families, providing intensive support to help them cope with challenging situations. This role involves working directly with families in various settings, including their homes and community locations.

You will be the trusted person they can turn to for guidance and support, helping them establish routines and build life skills. You will also work with children and parents, offering practical assistance and developing their parenting skills and confidence.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying the needs of each family and providing tailored support to meet those needs. This may involve working with partner agencies, schools, and nurseries to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children and families we serve.

This is a temporary position until 31st March 2026, although we are actively seeking funding to extend it further. We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting young people, families, and communities, and who shares our vision of collaborative working and relationship-based early intervention.

The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of child development and be able to work effectively with parents individually or in groups. A current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post, although consideration will be given if alternative transport arrangements can be made.

As a valued member of our team, you will receive excellent training opportunities, generous annual leave, and a range of benefits. We are committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all our service users, and use a thorough and rigorous recruitment and selection process to ensure this commitment is not compromised.
