About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Student Welfare Specialist to join our team at Global Banking School.

This is a part-time position requiring 30 hours of work per week with shift patterns in the evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will provide guidance and support to students throughout their studies, addressing their welfare, learning, and engagement needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Student Welfare Manager to manage student referrals and serve as a liaison between the Welfare Office, academic teams, and internal/external services.
  • Work alongside student engagement managers to enhance student attendance and provide effective support throughout their studies.
  • Serve as an academic advocate for students, collaborating with the academic team.
  • Provide training to staff and students on health and wellbeing topics.
  • Partner with student support services, including enterprise and employability officers, and the learning support team, to offer comprehensive support for GBS students.
  • Assist in organizing health and wellbeing social activities and events for students.
  • Contribute to maintaining a collaborative working environment, ensuring high-quality working conditions at GBS.

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
