Field Service Engineer Job Description

Our client, a leading Construction and Industrial machinery company, is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing onsite customer support to their range of machinery within the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Investigate and diagnose technical problems with equipment, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  2. Service a wide variety of machines both on and off site, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
  3. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  4. Supervise apprentices, when required, to maintain high-quality work and safe working procedures.
  5. Take responsibility for the health and safety of self, colleagues, and customers, in line with the Company Health and Safety Policy.
Requirements:
  1. 3+ years of experience in a similar role and industry.
  2. Investigate and diagnose technical problems, which involve climbing on top and underneath heavy plant machinery.
  3. Solid mechanical aptitude and ability to service a wide range of heavy tracked plant machines.
  4. Full driving license and ability to work independently.
Benefits:
  1. Competitive salary: £17 - £18 per hour, depending on experience.
  2. 40 hours per week, with overtime available at 1.5x.
  3. Holiday package: 22 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.
