Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Our client, a world-renowned Construction and Industrial machinery company, is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide onsite customer support to a range of machinery within the region, with a primary focus on keeping the machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Investigate, diagnose, and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment
  2. Service a wide variety of machines both on and off site
  3. Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems
  4. Complete job cards to a high standard promptly and within a given timeframe
  5. Complete paperwork and timesheets in a timely manner
  6. Request parts efficiently and effectively
  7. Provide an excellent level of customer service
  8. Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
  9. Supervise Apprentices, when required, to ensure that a high quality of work and safe working procedures is maintained
  10. Ensure compliance with relevant procedures when repairing and inspecting equipment
  11. Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards
  12. Present a professional image at all times
  13. Take responsibility for health and safety of self, colleagues, and customers in line with the Company Health and Safety Policy
  14. Ensure tools are safe and legal to use.
Requirements:
  1. 3+ years in a similar role and industry
  2. Investigate & diagnose technical problems, which involve climbing on top & underneath the heavy plant machinery.
  3. Solid mechanical aptitude
  4. Full Driving Licence
  5. Ability to service a wide range of heavy tracked plant machines
Benefits:
  1. Salary: £17- £18 an hour depending on experience
  2. Working hours: 40 hours a week
  3. Overtime available 1.5x
