About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our Perinatal Mental Health Service Team - Mother and Baby Unit. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care and support to antenatal and post-natal mothers and their babies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide perinatal support to mothers and their babies, promoting a nurturing and supportive environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement care for mothers and their babies.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring the needs of mothers and their babies are met.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of care provided, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.
  • Support families in understanding their baby's needs and promoting positive parenting practices.
  • Provide practical baby care, including feeding, bathing, and soothing techniques.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support for mothers and their babies.

Requirements

  • CACHE Level 3 or equivalent qualification in childcare and education.
  • Diploma in childcare and education (NNEB) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with mothers and babies in a healthcare setting.
