Pharmacy Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in a Private Hospital Outpatient setting in London. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the pharmacy team in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide an exceptional outpatient pharmacy counter service to patients, staff, and healthcare professionals.
  • Manage and coordinate the front counter service, identifying customer needs and offering appropriate advice on over-the-counter medicines.
  • Communicate and escalate to the team and the Responsible Pharmacist, maintaining GPHC standards.
  • Register patients, take payments in line with current policy and procedures.
  • Collect data for audit purposes and act as a service ambassador.
Requirements:
  • Experience working as a Pharmacy Assistant, retail or hospital.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently.
  • NVQL2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent MCA qualification.
  • Strong team player.
  • Confident and flexible.
