Health and Safety Manager

As a Workplace Health and Safety Manager, you'll play a critical role in driving improvements on-site and at a regional level. Your primary responsibility will be to manage your team, ensuring they maintain high standards while driving a culture of safety and inclusivity on your site.
Key Responsibilities- Lead your team on-site, collaborating with other teams across the company to achieve shared goals.
- Analyse data reports and root causes using internal tools, providing leadership with the information needed to make informed safety-related decisions.
- Develop and implement health and safety projects and policies, providing guidance and support to your team.
- Design and implement programmes to improve the safety culture in Amazon, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
This is a varied role based at one of our sites, allowing you to directly contribute to many aspects of our safety culture. You'll manage health and safety standards, improve functionality and efficiency, and manage your team to implement changes in response to employee feedback or seize opportunities to continuously make process improvements. Your role is instrumental in keeping employees safe, managing their satisfaction, and supervising their wellbeing and productivity.
Requirements- Hold a degree-level education and additional qualifications to an NVQ5/NEBOSH Diploma level.
- Have relevant experience managing a team and complying with local Health and Safety legislation.
- Have advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.
- Experience with Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
- Qualifications or experience in the field of sustainability.
- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership.
- Chartered membership of a Human Resources industry body (e.g., IOSH) to support people management.
