Job Description:

As a Homeless Housing Coordinator at CV-Library, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to individuals and families facing homelessness. You will work closely with key partners to prevent homelessness and provide specialist casework to households.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver high-quality customer service to homeless applicants and key partners.
  2. Undertake specialist homelessness casework, adhering to relevant legislation, strategies, policies, and initiatives.
  3. Utilize homelessness prevention tools and collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance outcomes for threatened or homeless applicants.
  4. Support the embedding of safeguarding best practice across the Housing Advisory Service.
  5. Aid in reducing temporary accommodation occupancy by assisting applicants in addressing landlords and court possession orders.
  6. Contribute to the growth and development of the Homeless Families & Singles' Team and wider Housing Advisory Service.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of welfare, homelessness reduction act, housing, and homelessness policy and case law.
  • Ability to provide high-quality customer service and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Skilled use of homelessness prevention tools and collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Experience in safeguarding best practice and its implementation within a Housing Advisory Service context.
