Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance: Develop contingency plans and strive to meet HMIP expectations, overseeing key operational projects and engaging with stakeholders for regulatory compliance.
  • Financial Management: Manage financial aspects, develop budgets, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall performance and policy adherence.
  • Crisis Management: Handle serious incidents and represent the prison to build vital community networks, collaborating with the Senior Management Team to achieve these goals.
Person Specification
  • Prison Operations Expertise: Extensive experience in prison operational management at a senior level, leading large teams or operations.
  • Visionary Leadership: A talent for creating engaging visions and rallying stakeholders around them, driving commercial acumen to manage budgets and drive improvements.
  • Culture Champion: Strong commitment to the values of Mitie Care & Custody and insights into contractual environments, fostering a respectful and service-oriented culture.
  • Tech Savvy: Technical knowledge of prison legislation, policies, and the justice system, with preferred qualifications including Level 3 or equivalent and relevant training in Silver command or incident management.
