Job Summary

Assystem is seeking an experienced NEC 4 Supervisor to oversee design and construction projects, ensuring quality and compliance at every stage. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of NEC4 contracts and the ability to manage communications and disputes effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scope Understanding: Assist in defining project scope and attend key meetings to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements.
  • Contract Communications: Manage NEC4 communications and respond to all deadlines in a timely manner, ensuring effective contract management.
  • Support the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor: Collaborate with the project team to analyze compensation events and provide expert dispute advice.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site visits to ensure the contractor meets the project scope and quality standards.
  • Reporting: Produce weekly site reports and maintain accurate records of site activities.
  • Defect Management: Monitor, report, and issue notices on defects, ensuring they are corrected properly.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Witness testing activities and ensure quality processes and audits are followed.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in regulated industries and complex stakeholder environments.
  • Knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
  • NEC Supervisor qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • Construction project management experience, with a strong understanding of construction methods.
  • Confidence in digital systems for project information, defect recording, and reporting.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented attitude.
