Job Description

As a Production Line Manager for our range of savoury products, you will be an integral part of our team, striving to achieve optimum levels of machine efficiency and product quality. Your role will cover all areas of production, from machine set up to final clean down, ensuring everything is of the highest quality.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead and motivate a small team of bakery assistants to manufacture our range of savoury products.
  2. Run a production line making products to Company specifications.
  3. Follow directives from Production Supervisors and the Production Manager to ensure everything is of the highest quality.
  4. Carry out tasks in accordance with departmental processes (SOPs, QAS, etc.).
  5. Guarantee all manufacturing and traceability paperwork is accurate and correct.
  6. Adhere to all health and safety policies and some heavy lifting (15kg manual handling).
  7. Motivate team members and some training of new team members.
  8. Report on your daily performance and any quality issues.
  9. Handle raw materials for production.

Requirements

  1. Positive and organised individual, capable of working in a team environment or on their own initiative.
  2. Ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
  3. Level 2 in food safety and hygiene preferred, but training can be given.
  4. Experience of working in a similar environment is desirable.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is competitive (around £25,000 - £30,000 per annum), based on the location and requirements of the job.
