HR Manager Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished professional to take responsibility for the human resources department in an industrial / manufacturing company based in Halifax.

About the Role

The successful candidate will champion HR best practices working on site in a generalist role for all aspects of HR.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of the strategic HR priorities for the Halifax site of approximately 50 employees
  • Work with line managers to deliver day-to-day HR support
  • Be the first point of contact for all HR matters including Employee Relations, day-to-day operational HR queries, L&D, recruitment, payroll administration, and stakeholder management
  • Support a cultural change in the organization
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a Senior HR Advisor or HR Manager capacity with the ability to work in a standalone role
  • Proven track record in a similar role within a manufacturing / operational environment
  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth understanding of all HR functions and best practices
