We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team at D R Newitt & Associates. As a Facilities Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct routine inspections and assessments of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the continued functionality of facility assets, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues as they arise to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Complete repairs and renovations to maintain the safety, efficiency, and appearance of the facility, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and equipment needed for facility maintenance, optimizing resource allocation and reducing waste.
- Implement energy conservation measures and promote sustainable practices within the facility to reduce environmental impact and lower operating costs.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure work environment for all staff and visitors, maintaining a culture of safety and well-being.
- Previous experience in facility maintenance or a related field, with a strong understanding of building systems and equipment.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex issues.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, with excellent communication skills for interacting with colleagues, contractors, and vendors.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.
