Job Overview

At TE Connectivity, we're committed to creating a safer, more sustainable, and connected world. As a Facilities Specialist, you'll play a vital role in achieving this vision by overseeing the maintenance and management of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, manage, and report on all site facilities maintenance, property inventory, and security support to ensure compliance with local safety regulations.
  • Create efficient and effective facilities programs for the company plant, defining parameters and processes for other facilities programs and improvements.
  • Provide advice and training to the site on impacted improvements and proposals.
  • Review and monitor contractor services, planning external maintenance, and managing documentation, including risk assessments, certification checks, and high-risk task reviews.
  • Use facilities expertise to define, document, and provide safe practices, ensuring cost-effective, repeatable, and high-quality practices.
  • Collaborate with the safety committee and production areas to achieve KPIs, attending daily meetings and providing facilities support to overcome challenges.
  • Support stores and dispatch teams to achieve their KPIs, attending meetings and providing facilities support to overcome component or delivery challenges.
  • Ensure smooth integration of new infrastructure changes, project managing activities with external and internal teams.
  • Capture and calculate facilities costs correctly, maintaining the integrity of costed times and budget management.
  • Investigate and initiate environmental improvement and cost-saving projects for the site.
  • Work with the Safety and Environmental team to deliver facilities works.
  • Roll out TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) requirements, Centers of Excellence (COE), and Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP).
  • Stay informed of technical developments and review facilities operating methods.
  • Comply with Health and Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation.
Requirements:
  • Maintenance and Safety Management experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Good practical knowledge of using hand tools, maintenance processes, and associated skills.
  • Good IT management skills and reporting.
  • Compliance with Safety standards for a manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot facility problems and resolve.
  • Computer literate using Microsoft 365 software.
  • Previous experience maintaining factory safety and facilities (electrical, plumbing, fixtures, fittings, etc.).
  • Experience in ensuring quality contractor management with documented procedures, plans, communications with landlord and TE in a timely manner.
  • Identifies and recommends new or improved facilities processes and technical developments for safe working or environmental benefits.
  • Ability to use own initiative to 'troubleshoot' problems in areas as they arise.
  • Continuous improvement of facilities infrastructure, buildings, decoration, services, and supplies to a standard work.
  • Drive and passion to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be creative.
  • Clean full driving license.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Experience with SAP or Sage system.
  • Project management skills when delivering facility projects.
  • Environmental and Health and Safety principles used in UK factories.
