Facilities Manager

At TE Connectivity, we're looking for a skilled Facilities Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain all site facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
- Coordinate and oversee contractor services, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement efficient facilities programs, including budget management and cost control.
- Provide technical support and guidance to site teams, ensuring they have the necessary resources and expertise to perform their duties.
- Collaborate with the Safety and Environmental team to deliver facilities works and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Work closely with the Stores and Dispatch team to achieve their KPIs and provide facilities support as needed.
- Investigate and initiate methods of environmental improvement and cost-saving projects for the site.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including risk assessments, certification checks, and high-risk task reviews.
- City & Guilds, HNC, or linked Safety IOSH, Engineering, Facilities, or Maintenance Engineering qualification.
- Proven experience in maintenance and safety management of a manufacturing facility.
- Good practical knowledge of using hand tools, maintenance processes, and associated skills.
- Good IT management skills and reporting.
- Compliance with safety standards for a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to trouble-shoot facility problems and resolve.
- Computer literate using Microsoft 365 software.
- Previous experience maintaining factory safety and facilities (electrical, plumbing, fixtures, fittings, etc.).
- Experience in ensuring quality contractor management with documented procedures, plans, communications with landlord and TE in a timely manner.
- Identifies and recommends new or improved facilities processes and technical developments for safe working or environmental benefits.
- Ability to use own initiative to 'troubleshoot' problems in areas as they arise.
- Continuous improvement of facilities infrastructure, buildings, decoration, services, and supplies to a standard work.
- Drive and passion to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on own initiative and be creative.
- Clean full driving license.
- Experience with SAP or Sage system.
- Project management skills when delivering facility projects.
- Environmental and Health and Safety principles used in UK factories.
