Job Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Charge Nurse within the Children's Unit at University Hospital Crosshouse. This role offers a unique chance to lead and develop the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs of care, and the setting of standards of care within the Children's Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
- Continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs of care, and the setting of standards of care within the Children's Unit.
- Leading on service development across all categories of care, taking overall responsibility for the provision of safe and skilled care, inclusive of all 3 clinical areas of the Children's Unit.
- Managing the nursing and team, allocated departmental resources, and budget to ensure the delivery and maintenance of high-quality clinical standards and the efficient running of the services.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- First-Level NMC Registered Children's Nurse (RSCN or RN Child) qualification.
- Educated to degree level with evidence of continuous professional development or equivalent professional experience.
- Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in the area of clinical specialty.
Working Arrangements:
