Full-Time Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Welsh Medium Teaching Assistant in a Primary school in Swansea. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, where you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children aged Reception to Key Stage 2.

About the Position:

  • This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and has experience working with children or vulnerable adults in the education or care sector.
  • You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to pupils, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • As a Welsh speaker, you will be able to communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues, enhancing the overall educational experience.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs (A-C grades) or equivalent.
  • Provide recent employee references and undergo a child-only DBS check.
  • Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
  • Demonstrate excellent patience and empathy when interacting with children.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits:

  • The successful candidate will receive a competitive daily rate of £83.85, which translates to an annual salary of £30,000 - £40,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Additional benefits include statutory holiday pay and the possibility of permanent employment upon satisfactory performance.
