About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Learning Support Specialist to join our team at Pontybrenin Primary School. As a key member of our staff, you will provide close support across the curriculum, working closely with pupils, teachers, and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with additional learning needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Contribute to the planning and evaluation of activities, ensuring effective implementation of educational programs
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff, promoting a warm and caring school ethos
  • Assist in the delivery of lessons, providing feedback and guidance to pupils as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, with relevant teaching experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven experience working with children with special needs, preferably in a primary school setting
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Salary Range: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
