Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to provide care and support to a client with a brain injury in Rhuddlan, Denbighshire. Our client requires assistance with day-to-day activities and companionship, and we are looking for a happy, proactive, and bubbly individual to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with personalized routines, including hoists, to support the client's independence.
  • Complete daily living activities, such as personal hygiene and mobility, to promote the client's well-being.
  • Administer medication and monitor health conditions to ensure the client's safety and health.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to the client, promoting their mental and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to the clinical lead nurse.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care and support for the client.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care, to provide the necessary skills and knowledge to support the client's needs.
  • Ability to deal with challenging behaviors and provide a safe and supportive environment for the client.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the client, healthcare professionals, and family members.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature to provide high-quality care and support to the client.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Flexibility to work the specified hours, including Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9am-3pm.

Training & Background Checks:

An enhanced DBS check and full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client. The Support Worker will also be supported by our clinical lead nurse for the area.
