Key Responsibilities:- Administer and update individual member records, handling all aspects of customer claims work in an efficient and effective manner.
- Provide an efficient administration and claims service to individual scheme members and intermediaries, including manual calculations for defined benefit pension schemes.
- Draft and issue clear and concise communication to both members and 3rd party intermediaries regarding defined benefit pension scheme benefits.
- Responsible for the checking of and authorising the payment of defined benefits claims, ensuring that the correct benefit calculations are accurate and settled.
- Act as technical expert for the team, providing guidance and support on pensions legislation and HMRC practice.
- Pension qualification such as CII or PMI or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- Understanding of defined benefit pension schemes.
