Children's Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Children's Nurse Specialist to join our established team of Community Children's Nurses in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to children and families in their own homes, schools, and community locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to children in their own homes and community settings.
- Work in partnership with children, families, and carers to deliver holistic care, taking into account individual preferences and lifestyles.
- Liaise with acute services, primary healthcare teams, and other agencies to plan and implement care packages.
- Provide health education and promote healthy lifestyles through health promotion activities.
- Participate in teaching packages to families and carers to ensure evidence-based care is delivered.
- Advise the Team Leader, Clinical Lead, or Service Manager of any concerns related to patient care.
- Undertake home visits to children registered with GPs in Birmingham as required.
- Maintain clear, concise, and contemporaneous records, adhering to BCHC record-keeping policies.
- Be professionally and legally accountable for nursing practice and all activities.
