SEMH Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Support Worker to join our team in Scarborough. As a SEMH Support Worker, you will work closely with students who require extra support with their emotional well-being and behaviour, helping them engage positively in education and develop their social and academic skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs
  • Assisting in developing individual learning and behaviour plans
  • Supporting teachers in delivering tailored lessons and interventions
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional resilience in students
  • Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and outside agencies to ensure the best outcomes for each student
Requirements:
  • Experience working with young people with SEMH or similar needs (desirable but not essential)
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • A DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one

Location: Scarborough
Start date: Immediate availability with ongoing opportunities
