Children's Team Leader Nights

SuperCare Residential is seeking an experienced Team Leader to manage operations at a residential children's home in Eastbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a shift and formulating support plans with young people, constructing packages of support to meet their needs, and promoting their physical, emotional, and social welfare in accordance with the Children Act 1989.
Main Duties:- Direct work with young people, key working, and providing support and care on a shift work basis.
- Working in partnership with young people, their social worker, and carers, and other relevant agencies to co-ordinate, monitor, and review Care Plans, risk assessments, and placement plans for allocated young people.
- Taking responsibility for the upkeep of the establishment with regard to health and safety and primary care issues, making autonomous decisions about individual young people's requests and behavior while on shift.
- Ensuring young people carry as much responsibility for their own lives as they can reasonably and demonstrably be expected to carry, keeping them informed of their circumstances and rights, involving them in planning their lives, supporting them, and helping them towards taking greater control and responsibility.
- Caring for the fabric, equipment, and overall environment.
- Being accountable for moneys allocated for specific purposes.
- Reporting repairs and ensuring necessary actions are taken.
- Ensuring young people are eating healthy and balanced meals prepared by staff.
- Ensuring health and safety checks are complete in line with policies and Ofsted regulations and standards.
- Making use of regular professional supervision.
- Reporting to a line manager or other appropriate person any malpractice or evidence suggesting it.
