Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Support Worker to join our team at SuperCare Residential. As a Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the needs of our young residents and ensuring their safety and well-being during the night shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and meet the needs of young people in our care, including direct allocated support on a waking night shift.
  • Help young people take responsibility for themselves and act responsibly towards others, in accordance with the Children Act 1989.
  • Maintain health and safety standards in the home and ensure the upkeep of the home is carried out.
  • Complete administrative work and keep records of information that impacts the daily running of the home.
  • Ensure young people carry as much responsibility for their own lives as possible, keeping them informed of their circumstances and rights, involving them in planning their lives, supporting them, and helping them towards taking greater control and responsibility.

Household Responsibilities

  • Ensure young people are looked after at night safely and securely.
  • Maintain the house to a good standard by caring for all equipment and the overall environment.
  • Be accountable for moneys allocated and spent for specific reasons.
  • Ensure health and safety checks are complete in line with policies and Ofsted regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • You will need to be willing to develop skills, knowledge, and experience in accordance with a personal development plan.
  • You will be kind, caring, and compassionate to accommodate all of the young people's needs.
  • You will have experience in working with children who display challenging behavior, such as severe autism and ADHD.
  • You will be resilient and able to manage all challenges in a caring way.
  • You will have completed your Level 3 NVQ in Children's Residential Care and/or hold an equivalent qualification.
  • You will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
