Ambulance Care Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team at EMED Group. As an Ambulance Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing patient transport services to the NHS and local communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport elderly, sick, and vulnerable service users to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities.
- Assist with the handling of patients, ensuring a high level of empathy and care at all times.
- Build rapport with patients and their relatives/friends through effective communication.
- Responsible for lifting, securing, and helping service users in and out of the ambulance.
- Assist with the transfer of patients between beds, stretchers, chairs, and other equipment.
- Ensure the ambulance is kept safe, clean, and tidy at all times.
Requirements:
- Committed to patient care and well-being.
- Effective communicator with experience in emotional situations.
- Calm, considerate, and careful driver with a full UK driving license.
- Natural flair for team working and collaboration.
- Physically fit for patient handling and moving.
- Pass an Enhanced DBS check.
- Ability to work flexible shifts.
